Our Trailer Script

[Work done as a group]

First shot shows Erica walking down a corridor, someone waves to her, and she waves back only to see that they were waving at someone else.

Voice-over: Erica Edwards never fitted in…

Shows Erica handing out her invites to people at school, when she hands it to Samantha, she tears it up in her face.

Samantha: As if anyone would want to go to your party! Loser!

Shows a scene where Erica is sat at the table with a birthday cake on it. She looks to the window and sees Samantha with those invited to her party, they seem as though they are going to come in, but then walk by.

Erica: (whispers) I wish I was more like Samantha.

Voice-over: (As Erica blows out the candles) until one day…

Erica is looking in the mirror the next day and discovers she is in Samantha’s body.

Erica: Screams.

Voice-over: Everything changes…

Show Erica walking down the same corridor as in the first scene, but this time everyone waves to her and approaches her as she is Samantha. The real Samantha, now Erica is shown at the end of the corridor alone and angry.

Erica (Samantha) is sitting with Erica’s geeky friends in the canteen.

Erica (Samantha): (Under her breath) could my life get any worse?!

A football then hits her in the back of the head, making her face fall in her food. A close-up shows her fury.

Erica (Samantha) walks out of school, a point of view shot shows her looking at Samantha (Erica) walking and laughing with Samantha’s boyfriend Jake.

Erica (Samantha): So not going to happen!

Both Jake and Samantha (Erica) receive a letter in their lockers, written by Erica (Samantha), saying that they should break up with each other. Both are shown in the shot; their reactions to the news and slam their lockers shut. Erica (Samantha) is near Samantha’s (Erica) locker, and is pleased with herself.

Fight scene between Erica (Samantha) and Samantha (Erica).

Erica (Samantha): Did you ever really think Jake would like someone like you?!

Samantha (Erica): You wrote that letter!

They fight.

Titles appear with the date of the month of the film’s release.

Samantha is shown holding hands with a short, geeky boy.

Geeky Boy: Our love is like dividing by zero… you can’t define it!
